Without the use of technology the making of my magazine would have been impossible. All throughout the different tasks I made sure I used a great variety of technologies to expand my knowledge as much as possible.
Online
Weebly - throughout the entire of this assignment (major task 1, mior task 2 and minor task 3) I used weebly to document all my research on music videos and the pop genre and to document the different stages of my pre-production and production of my different products.
Online Research - When researching I used a lot of different websites to make sure my information is as accurate and reliable as possible. Some of the websites I used are: Youtube, Wordpress, Academia, SlideShare, prezi and official product websites like www.dji.com
Music Video: Software
Adobe Premiere Pro CC - I used this software to edit my music video. This was very efficient thanks to the different tools it provides for color grading, transforming videos and
Microsoft Word - I used Microsoft Word Office to write down all my research I did on pop music and music videos. Additionally, I used Word for all of my music video pre-production - I used it to break down my ideas, which helped me understand the style and concept that I wanted my music video to have; and to produce all of my pre-production documentation, which made the entire process have near professional standards.
Adobe Photoshop CS6 - I used Photoshop CS6 alongside a Graphic Tablet (hardware) to produce my animation, which was definitely a really tiring journey fill with more downs than ups. However, I'm extremely happy that I went through it and didn't give up because the end product, I believe, is stunissing and extremely successful. It also helped me with my university choices, as i am now sure that I do not want to take Animation as a module in my university course.
Hardware
Sony Alpha A7s II - to film my music video I used a Sony A7s, this is because the quality of the image it records is amazing. The camera is mirrorless, this allows better light gathering power that produces videos close to professional level.
50mm lens - I used the Sony camera with a 50mm lens, this is because most of the shots that I filmed are portraits close-up or mid-shot distance, having a lens that's higher or lower value would have deformed my actress face.
DJI Ronin Gimbal - The Gimbal allowed me to stabilize my shots, creating really smooth pans and tracking shots with a lot of control.
Projector - To project different colors on the actress's face in the bedroom scene and bathroom scene
Fairy Lights - I used 5 different sets of fairy lights, with the light of each being at different temperatures. This created a very dreamy and successful scene connoting enlightenment.
Memory cards
Manfrotto MKC3-H01 tripod
Shoulder cam - for the hand-held tracking shots following the actions of the actress's ex.
Graphic Tablet - The graphic tablet was extremely useful when creating my animation as it made it easier for me to transfer my drawing skills due to it made it feel as if I was drawing on paper.
Digipack: Software
Photoshop CS6 - I used Photoshop to produce the cover and back cover art, the sleeves, and the booklet.
Hardware
iPhone 5C - I used an iPhone to take a picture of the drawing that I made for the cover art of my digipack
Drawing paper
Fine liners - I used black fineliners ranging from 0.1 - 3 to draw my drawing
Scissors and tape - I used scissors and tape to produce an actual 3d physical copy of my digipack.
Website: Software
Photoshop CS6 - I used Photoshop to edit the pictures that i took of my physical digipack and also to produce my artist merchandise.
Hardware
Canon - To take the pictures of my physical digipack I used a Canon EOS 100D with a 50mm lens.
White blanket - When taking the picture of my digipack, I positioned against a white backdrop, that was achieved with the white blanket. This made the product stand out.
