Front cover
Producing the front cover of was definitely the most time consuming this is because the artwork featured was produced by myself, pen on paper.
Artwork: The artwork is inspired by Fka Twigs' merchandise produced by artist Ignasi Monreal. I believe this artwork is extremely beautiful and successful. That is why is decided to create something similar for my digipack. |
I don't want my artwork to have any color or tone, I just want it to be a line drawing, having a similar style to my animation. Which will create a sense of house-style and unity between my different task productions.
The artwork took two hours to paint. 1 hour to sketch the drawing and another hour going over the pencil with a really fine (0.3) fine liner. I didn't use a ruler or compass, this is because I wanted the lines and circles to look really organic, often when you use rulers or compasses in line drawings it ends up looking really artificial and unrealistic. And I didn't want this for my line art, I wanted it to have mistakes, non-straight lines and circles, etc. |
A lot of the modern associations of Satan with goats come from the idea of Baphomet.
Eliphas Levi, undoubtedly influenced by earlier associations of goats with witchcraft, propounded the idea of a goat-headed deity, which he identified with the Baphomet purportedly worshiped by the Templars: The symbolic head of the goat of Mendes is occasionally given to this figure, and it is then the Baphomet of the Templars and the Word of the Gnostics, bizarre images which became scarecrows for the vulgar after affording food for reflection to sages – innocent hieroglyphs of thought and faith which have been a pretext for the rage of persecutions. How pitiable are men in their ignorance, but how they would despise themselves if only they came to know!
Dogma et Rituel de la Haute Magie (translated) It is from Levi that we received the most stereotypical Satanic goat image, a semi-nude individual with male, female, and goat attributes.

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:9)

(Revelation 20:2) This are verses come from Revelation 12:9 and 20:2 without much regard to other passages, such as Genesis 3. And clearly explain why snakes are normally associated with Satan.
